DraMature (resident senior theater troupe) meets weekly for acting classes.

The health and mental benefits of their involvement are apparent almost immediately. Mental acuity and memory skills are strengthened through memorizing scripted lines and stage direction. Lung capacity is increased through the breath control involved in blocking exercises, and through the physical exertion of movement muscle strength and flexibility are improved.

This group performs several times a year for enthusiastic audiences, building life satisfaction while creating a social support network that improves the quality of life for all participants. The mix of race, gender, ethnicity, and generation in today’s communities are unprecedented. MPAC hopes to target people of all ages who are committed to building a stronger community void of specific generational, social or family decent.
